Less than 24 hours after Denver Broncos legend Aqib Talib predicted that the franchise could trade for Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, reports are coming out that this is indeed happening.
NFL insider James Palmer confirmed the potential trade of Waddle from the Dolphins to the Broncos. Palmer also suggested that the Broncos were interested in Waddle at trade deadline last season as well.
After Talib’s prediction stood true, fans hailed him in the comments.
“AQIB TALIB THE NEW ADAM SCHEFTER,” one fan wrote. comparing him with an NFL journalist.
“Wow. Aqib Taleb wasn’t lying. Broncos add a big time playmaker,” another added.

NFL insider Adam Schefter shared the details of the trade. As part of the transaction, the Broncos receive Waddle and the Dolphins’ 4th-round pick (11th in round) in this year’s draft. Meanwhile, the Dolphins receive the Broncos’ 1st round pick (30th overall) along with their late third and fourth round picks (30th in each round) in this year’s draft.
Some fans shared their reaction to the trade as well, with several Dolphins fans showing their disappointment.

What Aqib Talib Actually Said About Jaylen Waddle Trade
During his appearance on The Arena: The Gridiron, it appeared that the former Super Bowl champion had insight into the Broncos’ future dealings involving a blockbuster trade for Jaylen Waddle.
“They’re bringing back that same defense. Same D coordinator. A minor tweak on offense,” Talib said on the show. “We’re going to let the young mind, Davis Webb, call the plays, and we will have an offensive, new, explosion player on offense.”
“I’m just telling you, when it breaks, just say, ‘Hell yeah, ‘Lib said that,'” Talib added. “We will have one. Just trust me on that.”
While at the time, he chose not to reveal the name, just calling him an “explosive” player on offense, now we know who he was talking about.
