After what may be the final game of his NFL career, Aaron Rodgers appeared to be annoyed by reporters during the post-game as he stormed out of the presser after not liking one of the questions.
His Pittsburgh Steelers were dominated at home by the Houston Texans 30-6, though the questions veered to head coach Mike Tomlin. He extensively showed his support for the coach, only to have another reporter ask another question about him.
“I’ve talked extensively about how I feel about Mike … and I just did in that fu**ing answer,” he told the supporter asking the Mike Tomlin question.
In answering the first question regarding Mike Tomlin, Rodgers emphasized that the head coach was the right person for the job and defended him. Here is what he said:
“c Mike T. has had more success than damn near anybody in the league for the last 20 years. To me, that’s just the validity given to ‘Twitter experts’ who make it seem like they know what they’re talking about.”
After extensively defending Tomlin, another reporter asked a question regarding the coach, which Rodgers felt that he had already answered, leading to him walking out of the presser.
Is This Aaron Rodgers’ Last Season?
As the 2025 season started, there was already a lot of talk about this being Aaron Rodgers’ final season in the NFL, with many experts and insiders expecting him to retire at the end of the season. As the Steelers were eliminated, Rodgers was asked by reporters if this is his last season, and here is what he said:
“I’m not going to make any emotional decisions. It’s disappointing to be sitting here with the season over. It’s been a great year overall in my life… but I need to get away and have the right conversations.”
Rodgers only signed a one-year deal with the Steelers, meaning he is effectively a free agent right now. While many expect him to retire, the decision ultimately lies of Rodgers himself, and he has not officially ruled out playing again.
