On Thursday, New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns found himself in the middle of a situation involving Tom Brady and Logan Paul. At Fanatics Fest in New York City, Brady threw a slap at Paul, prompting Towns to step in before things could escalate between the NFL icon and the pro wrestling star.
While Brady and Paul dominated the headlines emerging from Fanatics Fest, fans also had some hilarious reactions to Towns’ role in this scene.
“You have quite the acting chops!!! FR!” one fan tweeted.
Earlier this year, Brady had apparently gotten on Paul’s nerves when he called the WWE “cute” and stated that pro wrestling isn’t “real competition.” In response, Paul called Brady “washed up.”
This viral moment involving Paul wasn’t the only encounter Towns had with a WWE Superstar that night. KAT was also seen being introduced to Danhausen, the eerie-looking performer who “cursed” and “uncursed” the Knicks during their playoff run this year.
As fate would have it, the lifting of Danhausen’s curse coincided with the Knicks winning 11 straight postseason games, en route to the 2026 NBA championship. It wouldn’t be a surprise, then, if Towns makes an appearance on WWE programming alongside his teammate (and self-professed WWE fan) Jalen Brunson.

At Fanatics Fest, Anthony Edwards (who spent four seasons with Karl-Anthony Towns in Minnesota) had an interesting revelation.
According to Edwards, he and Towns were in contact during the NBA Finals, with Ant-Man giving some advice to deal with the San Antonio Spurs’ main man, Victor Wembanyama.
“I was talking to him every game, because we played San Antonio. Just giving him tips and stuff on which players like to go which way and stuff about Wemby. So yeah, I gave my little cheat code and he passed the test.” [Timestamp – 0:08]
While Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves lost 4-2 to the Spurs in the second round of the playoffs, Towns’ New York squad got the job done against Wembanyama in the Finals.
