Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski hard launched his romance with girlfriend, Grace Nye, on Instagram on Wednesday. Nye was the first to go public with the relationship, sharing photographs of her and Podziemski on Instagram.
The Warriors guard reshared her post on his account with heart emojis, confirming their romance.

His girlfriend resides in California. She attended the University of Alabama. Her full name is Aashawnti Nye, and her older sister, Aaliyah Nye, plays for the Las Vegas Aces. She was drafted in the second round of the 2025 draft.
Unlike her sister, Grace works as an artist and has an Instagram page dedicated to sharing her art. In 2025, her work was included in a group exhibition at Santa Clara University.
Brandin Podziemski is a Santa Clara alum. He transferred there from Illinois for his sophomore season and played 32 games, averaging 19.9 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, shooting 57.1%, including 43.8% from 3-point range.
His performances at Santa Clara saw him being drafted No. 19 in 2023. The third-year guard has played 210 games, averaging 12.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game, shooting 44.6%, including 36.2% from 3-point range.
Steve Kerr says Brandin Podziemski can “help drive winning” amid Steph Curry’s injury absence
Warriors coach Steve Kerr praised Brandin Podziemski, commenting on his impact on winning as the team has relied on him amid Steph Curry’s absence.
“I think where he is in his career, he’s proven he can help drive winning. I think that’s been apparent,” Kerr said. “He is, in my mind, really exploring how good he can become and what type of player he wants to become. And I think you’ve seen lots of hiccups along the way, where he’s trying things that aren’t working, but playing without Steph for 20 games is going to expose some of that.”
Curry has been dealing with runner’s knee, missing the last 23 games. Podziemski has served as the team’s starting guard over that stretch, averaging 15.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists. The Warriors have gone 8-15.
