Denver Nuggets reporter Rachel Strand shared a video on social media of Nikola Jokic’s brother, Strahinja Jokic, getting into a verbal spat with some fans at the Nuggets vs. San Antonio Spurs game on Saturday.
According to Strand’s post, the fan in the video seemingly taunted Jokic’s brother after the Serbian center was fouled during the game. Jokic’s brother gave an animated reaction and could be seen shouting at the fan, gesturing for them to sit down.
“Spurs fan just got absolutely chewed out as he kinda taunted or celebrated toward Strahinja Jokic (who is in some box seats behind him.) He made the Spurs fan sit down FAST lol,” Strand wrote on X.

The events unfolded amid an instant classic between the Spurs and the Nuggets, ending with a 136-134 Denver overtime win. Nikola Jokic led the team, finishing with 40 points, 13 assists, eight rebounds and three blocks.
With this win, the Nuggets snapped the Spurs’ 11-game winning streak and extended their own streak to eight wins. Denver (50-28) is fourth in a tightly contested Western Conference, eight games behind San Antonio (59-19) in second.
Nikola Jokic praises Victor Wembanyama after leading the Nuggets to a close win against the Spurs
During a media session after Saturday’s game, Nikola Jokic had high praise for the Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama, citing the center’s “unique” playstyle on both ends of the floor.
“He’s the most unique player on both sides of the floor,” Jokic said. “He challenges you in so many ways defensively because of his ability to shoot the ball. He’s one dribble from the basket, dunking the ball, a lob threat. If you’re one millisecond late, it’s probably a basket. He challenges the whole league to put bodies on him and push him around.”
Despite the loss, Wembanyama had a productive night, recording 34 points, 18 rebounds, seven assists and five blocks in his battle against Jokic and Co.
The Nuggets are now half a game behind the Los Angeles Lakers (50-27) in third and could close the gap when they return to action, taking on the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday.
