    Suns vs Spurs Preview

This will be the third meeting between the teams this season, with Phoenix winning both previous matchups — first by 12 points and then by 11 — both in November.

Since then, both squads have climbed the Western Conference standings, with the Suns at 32-23 but sitting at No. 7 amid a crowded top tier, while the Spurs hold a 38-16 mark at No. 2, trailing only the league-leading OKC Thunder.

The Suns come in as one of the league’s top 3-point shooting teams, ranking sixth in 3-point makes, 10th in 3-point percentage, and second in steals defensively.

Meanwhile, the Spurs ride a six-game winning streak, five of those against Western Conference opponents, and boast the league’s No. 3 defensive rating and fifth-best net rating, along with the top defensive rebounding mark.

The All-Star duo of Victor Wembanyama (24.4 points, 11.1 rebounds) and Fox (19.4 points, 6.3 assists) continues to fuel the team’s surge.

For the Suns, Jalen Green is set to appear in his eighth game of the season, while fringe All-Star Dillon Brooks, who averages 21.2 points and 3.7 rebounds per game, will be sidelined due to suspension after reaching the technical foul threshold.

For the Spurs, Lindy Waters III and newly acquired Mason Plumlee will be out, along with their two-way players.

    Prediction

The Spurs have been red-hot, and with the All-Star break providing fresh legs, it’s difficult not to see them pulling away from the Suns, who are just 1-3 in their last four games and without Brooks.

Our prediction: Spurs win by 11.
