The Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs resume their 2026 Western Conference finals series in Friday’s Game 3 at the Frost Bank Center. The series is tied 1-1 after the Spurs stole the Thunder’s homecourt advantage with a 122-115 double overtime win in Game 1.
Victor Wembanyama and Dylan Harper recorded historic performances in the conference finals debut. Wembanyama scored 41 points and grabbed 24 rebounds, while Harper had 24 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and seven steals in his first playoff start.
The Thunder didn’t take long to bounce back in Game 2. After a neck-and-neck first quarter, the Thunder outplayed the Spurs for the rest of the contest to win 122-113.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander returned to his best with 30 points and nine assists, while Isaiah Hartenstein played arguably the most crucial role. The veteran big had 10 points and 13 rebounds in his battle with Victor Wembanyama.
Both teams faced significant injury concerns after that matchup. The Spurs, who were already without De’Aaron Fox, saw Dylan Harper go down with an injury in the third quarter after a collision with Chet Holmgren. Fox (ankle) remains questionable after sitting out the first two games and Harper (adductor) is also uncertain to suit up.
Meanwhile, the Thunder saw Jalen Williams reaggravate his left hamstring injury in the first quarter. Williams strained it in Game 2 of the first-round series against the Phoenix Suns and missed the next six games before returning for the Western Conference finals opener. Williams is questionable to play as he gets evaluated day by day and game by game.

Cason Wallace will likely start if Williams is out.

The Spurs’ starting lineup depends on De’Aaron Fox’s availability. If he plays, Fox will return to the point guard spot, replacing Dylan Harper. He will share the backcourt with Stephon Castle. Meanwhile, Devin Vassell will remain at small forward, Julian Champagnie at power forward and Victor Wembanyama at center.
If Fox and Harper are both out, the Spurs could start Harrison Barnes and move Castle to point guard and Vassell to shooting guard.
