Ayesha and Steph Curry are among the strongest NBA couples and have supported each other through the most difficult times. As the four-time NBA champion enters the tail end of his career, Ayesha has full faith in him to win one more title, and she seemingly lets her husband know that every day. And fans are excited to see their love.
Curry and the Golden State Warriors are in the midst of a strategy overhaul this offseason, looking to strengthen their frontcourt and add size to the roster. They are also one of the frontrunners to acquire LeBron James, but there isn’t any confirmation yet.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ayesha and Steph Curry shared their thoughts on the Warriors guard getting one more championship. When asked if an injury like a runner’s knee on his right leg ever shakes his enthusiasm going into a new season, Curry said:
“It does. But it also adds to the understanding of basketball mortality and the fact that I won’t be able to play forever.”
Ayesha let her husband know that he still has the stamina to get one more title:
“I just know you have one more chip in you. I tell him this every other week. One more.”
Fans were pleased to see the couple’s bond and the belief that Ayesha has in Steph’s basketball talent. However, some even took a dig at the team’s front office for delaying trade talks, as one wrote:
“Ayesha has more faith in Steph than the front office
They wanna save money for 5 years from now lol”
The Warriors are in dire need of some efficient shooters around Curry, especially after the exit of Jonathan Kuminga and in a situation like Jimmy Butler’s injury.
The Warriors need to add more pieces around Steph Curry
Steph Curry is still playing some of the best basketball of his career, even in the twilight of his career, as he averaged 26.6 ppg and 4.7 apg last season. However, a lack of efficient pieces who can get the team going when he is double-teamed or misses a chunk of games due to an injury has hurt his chances to take the team deep into the postseason.
On the other hand, the management is reportedly negotiating a massive two-year, $136 million extension for Curry.
No doubt fans want the Warriors franchise to make some important decisions for the team’s future. Meanwhile, NBA Summer League MVP Yaxel Lendeborg has come as a sweet surprise for the team, as he looks efficient on the floor.
