Michael B. Jordan has just won his first Oscar for his work in the movie Sinners, and LeBron James and Dwyane Wade have hailed the actor’s win on social media. The 98th edition of the Academy Awards was held on March 15 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Apart from Best Actor, the movie Sinners racked up three other honors: Best Original Screenplay, Best Original Score, and Best Cinematography.
James and Wade, who have been long-term supporters and appreciators of Jordan, shared an update on their Instagram story and hailed the actor for winning his first Academy Award. James wrote:
“Congrats my guy!”

James former Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade also wrote some words of appreciation for the actor:
“One win we all win”

The movie One Battle After Another led the way with six wins, while Hamnet’s Jessie Buckley won the award for Best Actress. Several other celebrities and former winners have congratulated Jordan on his first honor.
On the NBA side of things, LeBron James and Co. are coming off a dramatic and important win against the Denver Nuggets in overtime. James added 17 points, six rebounds, and assists, while Austin Reaves and Luka Doncic led the way with 32 and 30 points, respectively.
“Fu**ing generational player,” LeBron James hails Luka Doncic’s game-winner
As the Lakers were scrambling to keep up with the Nuggets and remain in the range, Austin Reaves made a headsup play to hit the ring and then drain the shot to tie the game. In overtime, the Lakers had an intense battle, but a Luka Magic dagger put the game on the Lakeshow’s side in the last play.
After the game, James talked about the game winner and said:
“Just a big-time shot by a f—ing generational player. … We wanted the last shot. We wanted to put the ball in our guy’s hands. So, it’s going to be just the first of many game winners like that for him and in a Lakers uniform.”
Doncic drilled a baseline jumper in the last play to send the Lakers two points over the Nuggets, 127-125. They will next face the Houston Rockets on March 16 and look to extend their winning run further to grab a playoff spot as soon as possible.
