While on-court controversies are frequent among NBA players, this time, the Memphis Grizzlies’ owner, Robert Pera, is reportedly involved in a much bigger one. In an exclusive session on the PABLO TORRE FINDS OUT show, alongside Hunterbrook, it was revealed that the Memphis owner’s game-changing technology had been allegedly used by Russia against Ukraine for “crimes against humanity.”
Pera, who is the owner and chief executive officer of Ubiquity Inc., is believed to be the founder of Super Range Series, a wireless technology that extends the range of Wi-Fi devices, helping governments and service providers in difficult rural areas. However, the same devices were allegedly being used by the Russian military.
As per Hunterbrook, the research team spent the last six months trying to find the answer to the “Why?” Highlighting the details of the report, Sam Koppelman, an Author and Investigative Reporter, said:
“What we found is that the Ubiquity Radio Bridge Antennae serves critical communication needs for the Russian military… It’s helping power Russia’s communication grid. What experts told us is that this enables a precision drone attack against Ukrainian civilians, the types of massacres of innocent people that the UN has called Crimes Against Humanity.
“We spoke to a Ukrainian soldier, currently in the war zone, who told us at Hunterbrook that without Ubiquity, these drones from Russia, the ones leading to these massacres, they would not work. “They’ll be flying blind.””
The journalist, Sam Koppelman, took to X later and even posted the alleged receipt of the transaction between the two parties, which the team dug during the research.
These reports and revelations will surely be problematic for the Grizzlies franchise, which has already been around controversies, when its star player, Ja Morant, was suspended for showcasing a gun on Instagram.
While Pablo Torres had doubts about the NBA taking action against the youngest NBA owner, Sam seemed convinced that, as the NBA commissioner was concerned about Morant’s act, he would do something about it as well.
Grizzlies owner’s Ubiquity’s shipment trade value grew 66%, and other shocking revelations, via Hunterbrook report
Huntrbrook’s investigative report has presented crucial findings about Robert Pera’s Ubiquity Inc., to back its claim. As per the media house’s trade report analysis:
“The total value of Ubiquiti shipments crossing the border into Russia surged 66% after the invasiondespite U.S. and EU sanctions and export controls.”
The report added:
“A Ukrainian communications officer estimated 80% of Russian radio bridges they’d observed on the battlefield were made by Ubiquiti…Hunterbrook tested how easily export-banned Ubiquiti equipment could reach Russian forces. Posing as a Russian military procurement officer, a reporter contacted Russian vendors and multiple official Ubiquiti distributors worldwide. Nearly a dozen agreed to sell export-banned equipment. One vendor even shared thank-you letters they said were for providing Ubiquiti equipment to the Russian military.”
NBA commissioner Adam Silver will surely be interested in new revelations from the report, as further reports are awaited.
