Luka Doncic and Co. have won six games in a row after the Lakers’ latest win against the Houston Rockets, 100-92. Off the court, the Slovenian guard is in the midst of personal turmoil with his fiancée, Anamaria Goltes. The couple has reportedly separated, and the two might also be involved in a legal tussle over their two daughters.
A sports betting platform, Polymarket Sports, shared an interesting stat on X that Doncic is averaging 37 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists in the last six games he has played since news of his separation from Goltes went viral. The Lakers have won all six.
Fans also found the connection between the two events amusing, as one wrote:
“Custody Luka is MVP”
Another user pointed out the corny nature of the post and the stat and highlighted that it was his family:
“This post is corny as hell. That’s that man’s family.”
Another Lakers fan asked the sportsbook company to hesitate before sharing such stats:
“Have some shame. Even for a betting site“
Another user said that he was not shocked at the post:
“This is trash, and I’m not shocked. It fits you perfectly.”
This user highlighted a different side of Luka’s MVP battle this season and wrote:
“Custody battle Luka is about to heal many hearts from his own heartbreaks that’s how generous Luka is he’s the MVP for sure”

The Lakers will now play five road games in the coming two weeks. The team will play back-to-back games against the Rockets after grabbing the third seed, following the last win.
Luka Doncic’s 34 saves the Lakers’ winning streak
Austin Reaves had a bad shooting night, as he went 0-8 from deep, scoring 15 points. Even though no starter reached the 20-point mark, the Lakers won the game on the back of 34 points from Doncic.
For a change, the Lakers played good defense and kept the game reachable. Marcus Smart’s late clutch threes have also kept the team afloat in crucial situations.
