Steph Curry missed his 17th consecutive game, as the Golden State Warriors lost to the New York Knicks, 107-110. The Warriors have now lost five games in a row, and fans are missing the sharp-shooter more than ever in a crucial juncture before the postseason. Amid this, a viral post on social media has grabbed fans’ attention.
sawyerNYK on X shared a post-game conversation between Steph Curry and Jalen Brunson, claiming:
“Stephen Curry to Jalen Brunson postgame:
STEPH: “Can you play off-ball?”
JB: “I can do whatever, you’ll see”
STEPH: “See you soon”
The post has garnered more than 597k views on X and has several comments saying that it was not the conversation that happened between the two. Moreover, the two players had their hands on their mouths while speaking, a common practice by players during their interactions to avoid being interpreted, and there was no evidence that the conversation happened as mentioned in the caption.
There is no verification for the conversation mentioned in the post, and hence, it’s seemingly false.
Steph Curry might feature in the Warriors’ next home game
Steph Curry has been out of the Warriors’ rotation since January 30 due to a knee injury. Fans have gotten desperate and want the superstar guard to be on the court, trying to get the team a play-in spot. And the 4-time NBA champion might soon return to the roster.
As per Tim Kawakami of the San Francisco Standard:
“Let me note here that Curry definitely seems to be feeling good about a return from his frustrating bout of ‘runner’s knee. I saw him in the Chase Center locker room a few days back after a workout, and he looked dead-eye serious, like he was about to play Game 1 of the NBA Finals.”
The Warriors have just won 15 games out of 17 that Curry has missed in this stretch. There is no denying that the team needs his efficient hands if they want to feature in the playoffs.
Steph Curry might see the light of day as early as their next home game on March 26 against the Brooklyn Nets. They will now face the Washington Wizards, who are second last in the standings, a good opportunity for the Warriors to find their offense and win a road game.
