Cleveland Cavaliers vs Memphis Grizzlies Preview and Prediction
The Cleveland Cavaliers are in great form right now, going 8-2 over their last 10 games. That run has pushed them to within just one game of the No. 3 seed New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference, putting them firmly in the race to clinch a top-three seed.
On the other side, the Memphis Grizzlies have been struggling for a while. After falling out of play-in contention weeks ago, they decided to shut down key rotation players for the rest of the season, effectively raising the white flag. Since the All-Star break, they have gone just 5-20 and now sit tied with the #12 Dallas Mavericks at 25-53 in the Western Conference standings.
These two teams last met early in the season on Nov. 15, when both squads were relatively healthy. Cleveland came out on top 108-100, thanks largely to Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley combining for 52 points.
This time around, the gap between the teams looks even wider. Cleveland is playing with confidence and momentum, while Memphis is short-handed and lacks firepower.
Prediction: Expect the Cavaliers to win by 15 points.
