Chicago Bulls vs San Antonio Spurs Preview and Prediction

The Chicago Bulls have had a rough stretch since early February, going just 5-21 over the last eight weeks. During that time, they even suffered an 11-game losing skid and never managed to win back-to-back games.

In contrast, the San Antonio Spurs have been on a tear. They’ve gone 24-2 over the same span, firmly establishing themselves as a serious title contender. That run has pushed them up to second place in the Western Conference, just 2.5 games behind the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder.

Even though the two teams are trending in completely different directions, their only meeting earlier this season was surprisingly close. On Nov. 10, Tre Jones and Kevin Huerter combined for 43 points, while Ayo Dosunmu added 20 points and five assists off the bench for Chicago. However, it wasn’t enough to overcome a dominant performance from Victor Wembanyama, who put up 38 points and 12 rebounds to lead San Antonio to a 121-117 win.

This upcoming matchup feels very different. The gap in form between the two teams has widened, and the Bulls are dealing with multiple injuries, which makes their situation even tougher. On top of that, the game will be played at Frost Bank Arena, where the Spurs have been excellent with a 28-7 home record. Meanwhile, the Bulls have struggled badly on the road at 11-25.

Prediction: Expect the Spurs to win by 19 points.
