3-Time Slam Dunk Contest Winner Mac McClung Reveals 4 Dunks He Would Have Attempted in 2026

Mac McClung did not participate in the NBA’s 2026 All-Star Slam Dunk contest, but he revealed the four dunks he would have attempted. He is a 3-time winner of the dunk contest and earlier announced that he won’t be part of the weekend this season.

McClung recently signed a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls after leading the G League in points (27.1) in the 204-25 regular season. The 2025 All-Star Slam Dunk contest winner took to X to share practice videos of the probable four dunks this year. He wrote:

    “Check em out!!”

As usual, all four dunks shared by McClung were top-notch and could have been the winning dunks this year as well. However, Keshad Johnson of the Miami Heat was crowned the winner after Carter Bryant lost the last round, even after scoring 50s in the second round.

In the final round, Bryant needed just 47.5 to win, but he couldn’t land his planned dunk and settled for a 360 that he showcased in the first round. He lost the contest to the Heat forward. However, the event in all could not entertain fans to the fullest once again, as several voiced their disappointment over the lack of competition.

After Mac McClung, Keshad Johnson wins the 2026 All-Star Slam Dunk contest

The Miami Heat forward Keshad Johnson took away the Slam Dunk contest after soaring from inside the key for a high-flying windmill dunk that resonated with Jaxson Hayes first dunk of the evening. However, he won the contest due to Bryant’s failed attempt in the final bout.

Johnson’s first dunk of the contest was impressive, as he soared over the Bay rapper E-40 with one hand on the back of his head.

The judges’ table consisted of Dwight Howard, Dominique Wilkins, fellow former dunk contest champions Brent Barry and Julius Erving, and longtime Clippers standout Corey Maggette.

Johnson went undrafted in 2024. He played just 21 games with the Heat this season, averaging 3.1 points per game. The All-Star weekend will now move to the biggest game, as the league’s supertars gear up to compete in a new format this season.
