Damian Lillard Teases Giannis Antetokounmpo on Kalshi Investment After 3-Point Contest Win

Damian Lillard is out for the 2025-26 season due to an Achilles injury last year, but he was locked in for the NBA All-Star 3-point contest. The Portland Trail Blazers guard won the contest for the third time in a row after taking down Devin Booker and Kon Knueppel in the final round. Moreover, he had some things to say to Giannis Antetokounmpo after he grabbed the trophy.

Giannis was in the news recently for his investment in a well-known brand in the predictions market, Kalshi. As athletes are not expected to invest in or play on the betting or predictions app, the move attracted widespread criticism from the public. Dame also referred to that when he met the Greek Freak after the contest.

In a meetup post shared on X, the two superstars were seen embracing each other. The 2013 Rookie of the Year said:

“Did you place some on Kalshi?”

However, the 2-time MVP seemed frustrated with all the trolling and requested Lillard to “stop.”

Betting or getting involved with such companies is often frowned upon by several sports. After new findings in Terry Rozier’s betting case, the issue has once again come to the limelight.

Damian Lillard wins the 3-point contest for the third time in a row

It was Date-time at Intuit Dome on Saturday! Damian Lillard might not have taken the court this season, but his shooting prowess is second to none, and he once again proved that. After a 3-peat win in the All-Star’s 3-point contest, the shooting guard shared his mentality and thoughts on the win.

    Dame said:

“It felt like a game for me. Coming into it, I was like, I don’t know if you can compete harder at a Three-Point Shootout, but I definitely cared more. I didn’t come in, ‘Oh, it is what it is.’ I was like, ‘No, I’m trying to win.”

The NBA world now moves toward the main All-Star game on Sunday, when superstars take the court together. The league is expecting a good fan turnout after an average showing on the first two days of the weekend.
