Race for the Seat: All you need to know about RAM’s all new reality competition series for Kaulig Trucks’ seat

As RAM prepares its return to NASCAR with Kaulig Racing for the 2026 season, the manufacturer isn’t just bringing back the legendary RAM 1500 to the sport; it’s bringing a whole new level of drama to the garage. RAM and Kaulig have launched “Race for the Seat,” an eight-episode reality competition series designed to find the fifth and final driver in their five-truck lineup for the 2026 NASCAR Truck Series season.

Race for the Seat offers 15 aspiring drivers the chance of a lifetime to earn a full-time seat in the Truck Series with Kaulig Racing for the 2026 season. They have partnered with UFC President & CEO Dana White as the executive producer for the show.

RAM’s all-new reality competition series will feature drivers competing in late-model cars at legendary tracks such as Virginia International Raceway and South Boston Speedway, with each episode blending on-track challenges, off-track storytelling, and candid commentary from industry insiders.

The competition series will be hosted by actor Jacob Lofland. Dana White, Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis, and Kaulig Racing owner Matt Kaulig provide commentary throughout, breaking down performances, decisions, and the personal journeys of each driver.

Race for the Seat premieres on Sunday, January 25, at 12 p.m. ET on FOX. After the broadcast debut, new episodes of the show will air through February 6 on Ram’s official YouTube channel and be available on FS1 for viewers around the globe.

“I can’t wait to see who earns the seat”: Kaulig Racing owner reflects on RAM’s ‘Race for the Seat’ show

The winner of the show earns the fifth and final seat on Kaulig Racing’s five-truck lineup to run full-time behind the wheel of the #14 entry in the 2026 NASCAR Truck Series season, a rare and potentially career-making opportunity.

This slot joins full-time drivers Brenden “Butterbean” Queen, Daniel Dye, and Justin Haley. The fourth #25 truck is filled through a separate free agent program.

Speaking about the “Race for the Seat,” Kaulig Racing owner Matt Kaulig said:

“Race for the Seat is a great opportunity for the next generation of drivers to show what they’ve got. Working with RAM to bring this show to life allows us to think differently, push the limits, and give these talented drivers a platform they wouldn’t normally have. I can’t wait to see who earns the seat and joins us on the track.”

The 2026 NASCAR Truck Series season is set to kick off with the season-opening Fresh From Florida 250 at Daytona International Speedway on Friday, February 13.
