“Doing her a Favor”: NASCAR Fans React as Natalie Decker Faces Major Sponsorship Setback

Natalie Decker was set to return to the NASCAR O’Reilly series for the Focused Health 250 at EchoPark Speedway on July 11. However, her sponsor for the race, Venturi Bold Brew, pulled away, leaving Decker without a primary sponsor with just 15 days until her return. Fans reacted to the major setback.

Decker is set to race a part-time schedule in the NASCAR O’Reilly series this year with Joey Gase Motorsports. She’s run three races so far this year, and last raced at Pocono. The Wisconsin native is set to return to the series at EchoPark Speedway next month.

Unfortunately, on Friday, her sponsor, Venturi Bold Brew, announced that it was withdrawing the sponsorship.

“Effective immediately, Venturi Bold Brew is withdrawing from the O’Reilly Cup Series Focus Health 250 in Atlanta and ending its partnership with Natalie Decker. Her meet and greet at Redstone Market & Butcher in Athens, GA is also cancelled.”

“To the fans and media who followed along: thank you, and we are sorry for any disappointment this news may bring. We wish Natalie the very best on the road ahead,” read the sponsor’s tweet.

However, fans couldn’t help but notice the obvious mistake in the announcement and highlighted the same in the comments section.

The NASCAR Cup is the top-tier division, whereas O’Reilly is the second tier. With the sponsor not getting the series right in the withdrawal announced, some claimed that Natalie Decker dodged a bullet.

“The O’Reilly Cup Series. Yeah, they might be doing her a favor,” a user mentioned.

Natalie Decker qualified P31 for the O’Reilly series race at Pocono on June 13, 2026. Midway through the race, the engine of the No. 53 Chevrolet blew up, resulting in a DNF for Natalie.

She reflected on the Pocono race weekend on Instagram, as her caption read,

“Pocono was short but sweet, we unloaded for practice and the car was on the splitter, after getting it off the ground we were fighting being tight all practice. My team worked hard to make sure the balance of the car would be good for qualifying but the track was hot, greasy, and no grip. It was extremely free. The car felt good at the start of the race and I was getting more comfortable for my first race in an O’reilly series car at Pocono. It was looking like it was going to be a great day for us until the motor blew up. See you soon in Atlanta.”
