Sherry highlights the significance of frequent health assessments, saying, “Most of us don’t enjoy visiting the doctor. Don’t let your fear or anxiety keep you from being assertive about your health. The earlier you catch [cancer], the better chance you have of winning the battle and prolonging your life.”
Matt and Sherry have been actively involved in cancer-fighting campaigns. Their participation in the “Real Men Wear Pink” campaign helped generate over $200,000 for the American Cancer Society. The initiative reflects their mutual commitment to helping cancer patients and advocating preventive measures.
Matt has two daughters, Maggie and Emma, but they belong to his ex-wife, Jerri Painter. He also has a son named Brayden, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend, Kim Lei.
The 53-year-old coach has no children with Sherry, although she does have a son and a daughter from her previous marriage to Stephen Plevin.
Sherry has worked as a flight attendant and a licensed nurse, demonstrating her commitment to service and compassion. As a breast cancer survivor, she’s diving headfirst into advocacy work, which allows her to connect directly with the people she seeks to assist.
