Duke Blue Devils forward Cameron Boozer is one of the projected top picks in the 2026 NBA Draft. Against the likes of BYU Cougars swingman AJ Dybantsa and Kansas Jayhawks guard Darryn Peterson, Boozer has the potential to go No. 1 overall. Nevertheless, he has always been vocal about patterning his NBA career after his father, Carlos Boozer, who was a multi-time All-Star and was even selected to the 2008 All-NBA Third Team.
As he made his way to the first day of this year’s NBA Draft on Tuesday, June 23, the attention on Boozer immediately went to his draft day outfit. In a video posted by Yahoo! Sports on Instagram, Boozer is seen walking the red carpet in his all-white suit. The piece is complimented by a shiny tie, a silver watch, and a silver bracelet. To finish off the fit, Boozer wore a pair of brown shoes.
Since then, Boozer’s outfit has been compared to that of NBA superstar LeBron James, who also wore an all-white suit when he got drafted first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers back in 2003. It can only be assumed that Boozer went with the same color as James, a nod to the four-time NBA champion.
Still, Boozer is bringing in the experience he gained from his one-and-done year with the Blue Devils to the NBA. Last season, Duke went all the way to the Elite Eight of the 2026 national tournament.
AJ Dybantsa compares Cameron Boozer’s outfit to NBA superstar LeBron James’ draft night fit
Whether or not Cameron Boozer did go with an all-white suit to give a nod to LeBron James, his NBA Draft counterparts feel that he did. In a pre-draft video uploaded by the NBA on Instagram, AJ Dybantsa was asked for his thoughts on Boozer’s outfit. The young talent immediately said that it does remind him of James’.
“ I think this looks like bron in ’03. Yeah, What’s on the wrist? Oh my God. Alright. Well, we know who gets money,” Dybantsa said. (0:00)
