As for BYU, it does not look good as six players have been ruled out, most prominently its star guard, Richie Saunders, who was one of the Cougars’ best offensive players and is part of their “Big 3.” Freshman center Xavion Staton was also ruled out, as the seven-footer has been dealing with an undisclosed injury.
Brody Kozlowski and KJ Perry have both redshirted, while Nate Pickens is also out for the season after having surgery to treat an undisclosed injury. Dawson Baker will also miss the entire season due to an ACL tear, while Abdullah Ahmed is expected to return from his shoulder injury.
Texas Tech vs BYU Men’s Basketball Prediction
BYU is banged up, and while it has probable No. 1 NBA draft pick AJ Dybantsa and the homecourt advantage, it has lost much of its depth to injuries. Expect the Red Raiders to take advantage of this and win their last game of the regular season.
