Former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer is one proud dad, and while his twin sons, Cayden and Cameron Boozer, are making waves, his eldest son, Carmani, celebrated his birthday with his father and brothers. The Boozer clan boarded a boat and celebrated it a special way in Miami, and Carlos penned a special heartfelt birthday message for his son:
“A Real One Was Born Today!!!! Help Me In Wishing Carmani A Happy Birthday!!!! So Damn Proud Of The Man You Are!!! Stay Prayed Up As You Enter This Amazing Season!!! Be Where Your Feet Are!!! Happy Birthday Young King!!!! Love You ❤️”
Several others were also present during that birthday celebration, including the brothers’ girlfriends. This was a very special occasion indeed, as Carlos puller out all the stops for his eldest son, who is a private citizen. Cayden is likely staying with the Duke Blue Devils, while Cameron has entered the NBA draft and could possibly be picked as the No. 1 or No. 2.
Carmani was born with a rare ailment called sickle cell disease, which threatened his life. His parents, CeCe and Carlos Boozer, then launched a special charity to help find a cure, They ultimately did and found that the best cure was a stem cell transplant from a sibling, thus Cayden and Cameron Boozer were born and they ultimately saved their brother’s life as the stem cells used to cure Carmani came from them.
The twins were conceived via in-vitro fertilization or IVF and they selected embryos that were free from the disease but also closely matched Carmani’s. The stem cells were collected from their umbilical cord blood and the rest is history.
Cameron Boozer Received Some Draft Advice From Dad Carlos
Meanwhile, Cameron Boozer is getting ready to step into the world of the NBA as he plans to turn pro after just one season at Duke. As he gets ready, his dad, Carlos, revealed during the “Dan Patrick Show” that he had a piece of advice for his son.
“I told him to just enjoy it,” he said. “Enjoy the process. Enjoy all of the interviews. Be where your feet are and just take it in because this is a special moment, something he has been dreaming about, working for his entire life. He is five weeks away from realizing one of his dreams. I’m super, super excited for him.”
Cameron is currently seen as a top three pick, with him competing for that No. 1 pick slot with BYU’s AJ Dybantsa and Kansas’ Darryn Peterson.
