    Selection Sunday Bracket Update: Predicting Top Four No. 1 Seeds Ahead Of March Madness Showdown

    Selection Sunday, one of the most nerve-wracking days in college basketball, has arrived. Programs across the country will wait with bated breath to see if they are making the final March Madness bracket.

    Fans can watch the NCAA Tournament Selection Sunday on CBS at 6 p.m. ET. The field of 68 will officially be released shortly after the Big Ten title game between the Michigan Wolverines and the Purdue Boilermakers.

    Several teams have dominated their respective conferences throughout the season. Based on how the season has been for many teams, a clear picture around the top four No. 1 seeds has started to form.

    While we’ll still have to wait for a few hours for the official list, the No. 1 seeds are nearly guaranteed to be the following four teams.

    March Madness Selection Sunday Projected Top 4

    Duke Blue Devils

    The Duke Blue Devils were the strongest team in the Atlantic Coast Conference with a 32-2 overall record and 17-1 in the conference. They’re on an 11-game winning streak and haven’t lost a home game after 15 matchups. The Blue Devils have clinched an automatic NCAA berth.

    Michigan Wolverines

    Dusty May’s Michigan Wolverines dominated the Big Ten conference, winning every away game and maintaining a 31-2 overall record. They only lost one of 20 conference matchups and boast a No. 2 KenPom rating.

    Arizona Wildcats

    The Arizona Wildcats maintained a clear lead at the top of the Big 12 conference chart. Currently on a nine-game winning streak, the Wildcats are 32-2 overall and 16-2 in the conference. They are No. 3 on the KenPom college basketball ratings are projected to be one of the No. 1 seeds in the March Madness bracket.

     Florida Gators

    The Florida Gators are the only team in the projected top seed bracket who are coming off a loss. The Gators faced the Vanderbilt Commodores in the SEC Tournament matchups and were handed a humiliating 74-91 loss.

    Despite the loss, their 26-7 overall record, 16-2 conference record, and only losing one home game stand as an impressive season run. With a No. 4 KenPom ranking, the Gators will likely be one of the top four No. 1 seeds for the March Madness showdown.

    These predictions are common among several published bracket predictions by experts. It’ll be interesting to see if the committee follows the same pattern or if they have something else in store.
