OKC Told to Prioritize Cameron Boozer as Analyst Advises Trading Elite Star at NBA Draft

Oklahoma City Thunder are reeling from their NBA Western Conference Finals defeat to the San Antonio Spurs, but they will have to dust themselves off and get back on the bike as they prepare for a new NBA campaign.

And prioritizing the NBA Draft might be the best way for the Thunder to get back to Championship winning form, with several college basketball players declaring for the draft this year and being available for OKC and other teams to pick from.

Among them will be Duke’s Cameron Boozer, who had a stellar season with the Blue Devils, leading the way for Jon Scheyer’s men as they dominated their conference and got ever so close to winning the NCAA Tournament too.

Boozer is widely expected to be one of the top picks at the NBA Draft, and OKC are being advised by analysts to trade up in order to get their hands on the Duke standout.

“I would trade Chet Holmgren to move up to get Cam Boozer,” Tom Haberstroh said.

“I think he’s a better player, better prospect, he’s stronger, better playmaker, he’s not the rim protector that Chet Holmgren is but in terms of shooting, playmaking, strength, size, that is the prototype you’re going to want on your team going up against (Victor) Wembanyama.”

What Does the NBA Draft Look Like for Cameron Boozer?

The world is at Cameron Boozer’s feet as he prepares for the NBA Draft. Only AJ Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson are currently being mocked at higher than the former Duke star and for good reason.

Boozer’s scoring record and ability to create chances at will would be highly beneficial for any NBA side, and with a younger San Antonio Spurs team doing wonders this year, teams will likely be rushing towards paying big money to players like Boozer coming out of college.
