Nate Ament Declaring For 2026 NBA Draft Draws Wholesome Reaction From GF Jazzy Davidson

Tennessee Volunteers freshman Nate Ament has declared for the 2026 NBA draft, where he is expected to be picked in the first round. The forward announced his decision via a post on Instagram.

Sharing photos and memories he formed in his only college basketball season, Ament bid farewell to the Vols family, saying he will always feel pride in having represented the program.

“I’m declaring for the NBA Draft,” Ament wrote. “I want to dedicate this post to my Vol family. Your guys love and support is a huge reason I have this opportunity. It’s because of you guys that I was able to grow. Ya’ll stuck with me through the bad games and the good. I promise to always represent the Vols with the upmost pride. This University means more to me than just basketball — to me it’s a place I call home. I might’ve only been here a year but I’ll remember this year for the rest of my life.”

Ament also showed gratitude towards “family, teammates, coaching staff, and our managers” for contributing to his overall development.

Under the comments section of the post, girlfriend Jazzy Davidson shared a heartfelt message:

    “proud of u ❤️”

Nate Ament and Davidson sparked dating rumors in March. They allegedly hard-launched their relationship after Davidson wore Ament’s Tennessee jersey and was spotted sitting beside Ament’s mother at a Sweet 16 game.

    Nate Ament’s NBA Draft Projection

Nate Ament averaged 16.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game this past season. He shot 39.9 percent, including 33.3 percent from the 3-point range. In the NCAA Tournament, he scored 16 points in the Round of 32 win over Virginia and 18 points in a Sweet 16 victory over Iowa State.

His three-point shooting needs some work, the only chink in his armor, which he will inevitably need to improve if he wants to sustain a long time in the NBA.

At this point, Ament is widely viewed as a first-round prospect, often projected in the late lottery or mid-first round range. He also appears inside the top 10–15 range on big boards. It remains to be seen whether he can ignite enough interest to be selected in the first 10 names.
