“It’s a Shame”: Mick Cronin’s Frustrations Reach Boiling Point as CBB Mirrors MLB

Mick Cronin’s UCLA Bruins registered a 32-point blowout win against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. The Bruins haven’t had the best run in the Big Ten, but a dominant win is going to boost their confidence for upcoming games.

After the win, Cronin praised the Rutgers team. He stated that there are a lot of young and talented players on that team. Then he went on a trajectory that many fans pointed out has become a staple for Cronin.

“There’s haves and have-nots in the money world. And coach Pikiell is a great coach. He really is. It’s a shame we don’t have a salary cap and everybody was playing even. But this is baseball, not the NFL. This is MLB,” he SAID.

Cronin’s comment didn’t sit well with fans. They called him out for always finding something to complain about, and today, even when his team won the game in a dominant fashion, he went down the same path.

“I swear I’ve never seen this man talk without him crying about something. Probably complains after getting a BJ,” a fan wrote.

“This dude does nothing but complain about everything,” another fan wrote.

The Bruins are 8-4 in the conference and 16-7 overall.

Mick Cronin on Loss Against Indiana

A few days ago, the Bruins faced Indiana at home. The game went into double overtime and eventually ended 97-98. UCLA made a lot of mistakes during the game, which contributed to the loss, and Cronin pointed them out during the post-game press conference.

“We went through a stretch where we couldn’t make a shot,” Mick Cronin said. “Sometimes a lid gets on the basket. And guys feel pressure. Missed shots can be contagious, and that’s what happened to us. You got good players, and then you just got to keep on playing. One will go in. Just got to, at the end of the game, you’ve got to play it out, man.”

The only thing we did well tonight, in my opinion, was play out the last two minutes. Clock, score, and that’s when they actually listen to me on how to press. They didn’t listen to our scouting report for the game. I can tell you that,” Cronin said. “And that’s why you lose.”

He pointed out that execution wins games for teams, and his team failed to execute the plans they had for Indiana. Days later, they bounced back and registered a dominant win against Rutgers.
