The rivalry between the Michigan Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes continues into the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament.
After dispatching No. 9 Iowa, the No. 8 Buckeyes aim to upset their arch nemesis, the No. 1 Wolverines, who will be making their Big Ten Tournament debut after getting a three-game bye. This means that Michigan is coming in fresh, but will some of their injured players return?
In football, the Buckeyes have had the Wolverines’ number this year, so Michigan will aim to respond in kind for basketball, as it has had Ohio State’s number in the sport.
The Wolverines also have a lot more riding on them in this tournament, as they are trying to protect their No. 1 seed coming into the NCAA National Championship Tournament. Should Ohio State win this contest, they might go down the rankings.
