In a massive recruitment win for Mark Pope, Kentucky has now officially added small forward Milan Momcilovic via the transfer portal. Momcilovic is regarded as one of the best three-point shooters in college basketball and he promised to rain down threes for Kentucky next season in a new video from the official Kentucky Wildcats account:
“I’m also going to bring a lot of three-point makes to the court.” he said.
This promise to be an outside threat for Kentucky has many fans talking, with some poking fun at the other schools who were not able to secure Milan Momcilovic’s services, particularly Louisville, which had a late push to try and get the forward. Others, meanwhile, are excited for what he could do with the Wildcats.
“Louisville is in shambles right now,” said one fan.
“This is the easiest money he will ever make,” added another Wildcats fan.
“3 PT records boutta be shattered,” one fan predicted.
“Welcome Milan! Thank you for coming to BBN!,” said one fan thanking Momcilovic.
“Milan has green light all season,” another Kentucky fan noted.
“How can you not love this guy?” asked another person.
Signing Milan Momcilovic Proved Mark Pope Can Land A Recruit Amid Pressure
Before Milan Momcilovic chose Kentucky, Mark Pope was locked in a battle with Louisville for his commitment. During that time, Pope had only landed one four-star recruit from high school and failed to land No. 1 prospect Tyran Stokes, making many question his recruitment ability. However, with all that pressure, he managed to land one of the best lights-out shooters in the country.
Still, Pope has to improve upon this season, especially in the high school recruiting front. He may have gotten a rare win in the transfer portal front and proved that he can sign big names, but his high school recruitment does need a lot of work, especially as Kentucky is one of those renowned Blue Blood schools.
