Kiyan Anthony Drops Two-Word Message on Instagram After New York Knicks Win NBA Championship

The New York Knicks have finally done it. After decades of coming up short, the Knicks sealed the NBA Championship with a 94-90 victory against the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Saturday.

The Knicks won the series 4-1, sealing their third NBA title and first since 1973. The current Knicks squad will go down in history for what they have accomplished, but fans will never forget the contributions of those who came before.

Players such as Carmelo Anthony, who bled Knicks between 2011 and 2017, laid the groundwork for future Knicks stars, and it seems that passion for the team runs in his kids, too.

His son Kiyan Anthony left a short message for the world after the Knicks’ victory while kissing the badge on the jersey he was wearing.

“told y’all,” Kiyan wrote on Instagram.

Kiyan’s love for the Knicks is well known, and he was recently in attendance at Madison Square Garden in earlier Finals games.

How Did the Knicks Pull This Off?

New York Knicks fans have every reason to celebrate. Having failed to win an NBA Championship since 1973, the Knicks were not favored to end the drought this season, but bolstered by a strong squad and proper leaders, the team got it done.

Jalen Brunson obviously stood out, but Karl-Anthony Towns, Josh Hart, OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges and others displayed extraordinary grit and courage in tough moments to see the Knicks to the finish line.

The turning point was arguably the stunning comeback in Game 4 at MSG, as the Knicks overcame a 29-point deficit to win by one point. The win gave them a 3-1 series lead heading to San Antonio, where they wrapped things up.
