Kiyan Anthony is beginning to make waves in Syracuse after a rough start, with the freshman guard slowly finding his bearings as a sixth man for the Orange. His dad is none other than former New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony, a multiple-time All-Star and Olympic gold medalist who many believe is one of the greatest to never win an NBA championship.
While Melo has been retired for a few years now, he still makes bank over a lot of other things, from his podcast to various brand deals. His contract with the New York Knicks was worth $80 million over five years, though he ended his career with the Houston Rockets by earning just $182,000.
With him now retired, Carmelo Anthony now earns a majority of his money from various endorsements and partnerships.
A Syracuse legend himself, he led the Orange to their one and only national title in 2003. He was a one-and-done and soon entered the NBA draft as part of that legendary 2003 class, which included LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. With his long time in the NBA, as well as his various endorsements, partnerships, and his podcast, his net worth is estimated to be around $160 million, as per Celebrity Net Worth.
This includes his various real estate assets, which include his investments such as the North American Soccer League expansion team Puerto Rico FC and his $5 million investment in Nobody’s Pizza. He also has a five-bedroom condo in New York City that is listed for $12.5 million. In addition, he has his own production company called Creative 7, which is named for his New York Knicks jersey number.

He has a lot to live up to, especially as his dad led the Orange to a national title as a freshman. However, Melo himself believes that his should should take his career slowly, one step at a time.
“He’s a young 18 year old kid,” Carmelo Anthony said. “We never expected him to be one-and-done.”
He added that they are not rushing and is happy that his son has had a lot of progress over the last few months.
