“Don’t Wanna Hear About John Calipari Going on a F*cking Rant”: Kendrick Perkins Sounds Off On Conversations Around NCAA

John Calipari has been at the forefront of the things that have been pressurizing the NCAA. The president, Charlie Baker, was put under the cosh to create more rules and regulations for student athletes. John Calipari started his rants when Baylor signed a G-League player, James Nnaji.

Calipari expressed how signing older players with more experience and who have been drafted or playing in the G-League is disadvantageous for the high school student-athletes. Calipari was furious about the fact that people are signing G-League players who are over 25 years of age. He also got carried away and went on to say that only morons like him would be willing to recruit high school student athletes.

Almost all coaches who have not signed a former G-League player or NBA draftee have expressed discontent over the NCAA’s lack of rules. This led to a rule in place, which was overthrown very quickly after a judge ruled in Charles Bediako’s favor. Despite many people opposing G-League players’ eligibility, Kendrick Perkins has an interesting approach.

“Once you start getting paid, it’s really, it’s really not. Once you start getting paid, it’s a difference,” Perkins said. “If you’re serious about the game of basketball and you’re in high school, you might want to consider going to prep school and go to prep school so you could be ready for certain sh*t because prep school is preparing your a** for when you get in college to be able to go against these grown men because sh*t is different in 2026,” he added.

“And I don’t want to hear about John Calipari going on some f*cking rant. The reason you [Calipari] left Kentucky, you know why you left Kentucky? Because not only are you getting paid 8 million, close to $8 million annually, but you knew that you needed to keep up. So you at Arkansas, they’re giving you an additional $5 million a year for NIL. That’s how you able to go and get these top-notch players like Darius Auff, who’s probably going to be a lottery pick who went to prep school in Orlando, who was a McDonald’s All-American who’s tearing college up because he’s ready for it,” Kendrick Perkins voiced his opinion.

Fans React To Kendrick Perkins Calling John Calipari Out

Fans pretty much agreed with Perkins when he sounded off on John Calipari’s rant.

“Perk don’t miss,” one fan said.

    “Facts,” another commented.

“I agree with Perk..,” one fan showed support.

“I hear you until you see a kid transfer four times and not graduate. I don’t think coach cal said anything wrong. If you never been to college or work at a college stay talking about professional sports,” one fan claimed.

“I feel both sides but ncaa ball got pros returning to college getting millions in nil when they could have made that in the nba & played better competition When those pros could let the youth get those millions & minutes,” another explained.
