Georgia player Jeremiah Wilkinson will be leaving Athens this offseason, as he decided to jump on the transfer portal in search of new horizons. He played for the Bulldogs for only a season, arriving in Athens in 2025 as a sophomore transfer from California, where he was a star substitute in the 2024-25 season.
While he didn’t win any individual accolades in his sophomore season, he won the ACC Sixth Man of the Year and was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team in his first season.
5 Potential Landing Spots for Georgia’s Jeremiah Wilkinson
#5 Miami Hurricanes
The Hurricanes have a gap between their seniors and their youngest players that will be jarring next season, as players leave the school. An experienced SEC and ACC player who contributes regular scoring would be a fine addition to the roster’s depth and a way to bridge the generations.
#4 Arkansas Razorbacks
John Calipari managed to take the Arkansas Razorbacks to the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament for the second season in a row, while also helping them win just the second SEC Tournament title in program history.
The Hogs are one or two moves away from challenging for the Natty. They need to replace the points that Darius Acuff Jr. is going to take away with him to the NBA, while also needing players to create depth in the roster to be able to hang in there with high-end opposition. Jeremiah Wilkinson could be that kind of player.
#3 Kentucky Wildcats
The Wildcats have been disappointing under Mark Pope, not being anywhere near their historic heights. They need to build a roster almost from the ground up if they want to be SEC contenders again. For that, they need points and experienced players. Wilkinson is a reliable scorer and an experienced SEC player. This one would be a no-brainer for Pope. The question is, would Wilkinson want to go to Lexington?
#2 NC State Wolfpack
The Wolfpack is in the midst of an unexpected rebuild after Will Wade left the school after just one year in Raleigh. Not much has changed at NC State over the last year, and the team needs reliable scorers. Wilkinson not only brings SEC experience, but he’s a decorated ACC freshman from his first season at California. Wilkinson could fix lots of issues for Justin Gainey, the Wolfpack’s new head coach.
# 1 Georgia Tech
This move would be the dream one for Wilkinson. He’s a Georgia native, from Powder Springs, which made the move to Athens a logical one. He would also return to the ACC, where he’s already used to playing. The Yellow Jackets are just coming from a terrible 11-20 season, and Jeremiah Wilkinson could come into the team and become the star player right away.
