Current G League player and former Kentucky big man Oscar Tshiebwe is reportedly suing the NCAA, like Charles Bediako, to return to college basketball and play for Kentucky. Kentucky is going through a rather tough time. A lot of its players are out with injuries, and head coach Mark Pope recently tried to recruit another G League star, Dink Pate. However, Pate was not drafted and is still only 19.
Oscar, on the other hand, is 26 and was drafted by the Utah Jazz. Although he has played only one game in the league, he is still a guy whose addition would be objected to by John Calipari and other coaches.
A few fans were not impressed with Oscar’s legal action. However, some did support his return.
“Don’t care that I’m a die-hard Kentucky fan and that he is one of my favorite players ever but if he comes back college sports is just another professional league and it shouldn’t be this man dominates the G League,” one fan explained.
“Didn’t He Play For Utah?” another wondered.
“Might as well try,” another said.
“His eligibility is the same as other players that came back to college basketball. Why not bring back a beast that the fans love?” one fan claimed.
“So LeBron might as well go live out his dreams and play at Ohio State,” another said sarcastically.
“NO WAY,” one fan exclaimed.

Series of Events That Turned NCAA Into Chaos
The NCAA is under the cosh right now. President Charlie Baker was at the receiving end of a lot of criticism from some of the greatest coaches in college basketball, such as John Calipari, Rick Pitino, Tom Izzo, Mark Few, Matt Painter, and more.
Calipari first complained when Baylor signed G League player James Nnaji. He insisted that the NCAA needs regulations and age restrictions. Calipari sent a stern message about how this will be unfair for high school student-athletes. Rick Pitino said he doesn’t recognize the sport that he loves. Izzo ranted about the same reason, as he wanted strict rules while recruiting players.
This led to an important decision from NCAA president Charlie Baker. He announced that the NCAA will not grant eligibility to returning players and NBA draftees. However, Alabama star Charles Bediako sued the NCAA for lifting that rule. A judge ruled in Bediako’s favor. Alabama star is back where he wanted to, and following Bediako’s footsteps, another G League player has sued the NCAA.
