With the NBA Draft Lottery now behind us, it’s clear that the Washington Wizards have the first pick, and with a showdown between AJ Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson expected for the top spot, people have had their say about who deserves it more.
And it seems like most outlets seem to think that AJ Dybantsa has done enough to get that place, and one such mock draft comes from ESPN, who have Dybantsa heading to the Wizards and Peterson going second overall to the Utah Jazz.
The ESPN mock draft has been echoed by NFL legend Deion Sanders’ son, Deion Sanders Jr, who took to X to give a three-word response to news of the mock draft.
“I like it”, Deion Sanders Jr wrote on X. The man known as Bucky behind the scenes has been handling media duty for Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffaloes, with his “Well Off Media” channel on YouTube bringing fans closer than ever to their favorite college football team starring the NFL legend as their head coach.
What Else Does the Mock Draft Predict?
The ESPN mock draft goes on to pitch Cameron Boozer at number 3 going to the Memphis Grizzlies, which is also a pretty fair shout considering the incredible season he’s had with Duke.
Caleb Wilson is touted at number with him expected to move to the Chicago Bulls, despite his concerns around injury towards the fag end of the campaign with the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Rounding off the top 5 is Illinois’ Keaton Wagler, who ESPN suggest will be heading to the Los Angeles Clippers in another major get for the NBA franchise keen to better their city rivals this season.
While things can change as the NBA Draft officially rolls in, the mock draft does tend to have some solid picks and one can understand Deion Sanders Jr’s remark in this context.
