    Darius Acuff Jr. Joins NBA Comp Allen Iverson For Shaquille O’Neal’s Company

    Darius Acuff Jr. has proved himself as one of the most talented players to come out of this season’s freshman class. After flying under the radar for most of the season, John Calipari’s star worked up to build his reputation. Ever since the SEC tournament masterclass, Darius has managed to attract attention from fans, analysts, coaches, and surely NBA teams as well.

    Darius, in his unforgettable freshman season, broke multiple records. He became only the second player to lead the SEC in both points and assists in the same season. He became the 28th player to complete 700+ points, 200+ assists, and 100+ rebounds. Darius also has the fifth-most 30-point games by a freshman guard in NCAA history.

    Darius has been compared with former player Allen Iverson. His gameplay and traits really match the NBA legend. Recently, he earned the honor of getting signed by one of the biggest sports brands. Shaquille O’Neal’s Reebok signed Darius Acuff Jr., who joined Iverson. Darius’ signature shoes will be called Acuff 1.

    Darius Acuff Jr. has become the first male athlete to get a deal with a major sports brand while still playing college basketball. He had the honor of sharing the space with Allen Iverson as Reebok promoted the new deal. Iverson signed a lifetime contract with Reebok in 2001, which was worth around $50 million.


    Angel Reese Reacts to Darius Acuff Jr. Joining Reebok

    On Reebok’s official Instagram post, Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese commented to show her support. She wrote:

    She, along with the fans, was totally hyped up.

    Reese signed a multiyear endorsement contract with Reebok in October 2024. She also has a signature shoe called the AR1, which is about to be released.
