    “Gained The Best There Is”: Cameron Boozer’s GF Yva Cao Sends Heartfelt Message After Duke Forward’s No. 3 Selection

    Former Duke star Cameron Boozer was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies with the No. 3 pick of the 2026 NBA draft on Tuesday. Shortly after his name was called, he received a heartfelt message from his girlfriend Yva Lauren Cao.

    Cao celebrated the milestone with an emotional tribute on her Instagram story.

    “Memphis just gained the best there is!!” Cao wrote on her Instagram story alongside a photo of Boozer from draft night. “So proud of you and beyond grateful to watch your dreams become reality.”

    “Your talent is undeniable, but who you are is what makes me proudest. I love you endlessly. This is only the beginning. Here we gooo.”

    Boozer comes to Grizzlies after a great season with the Duke. He recorded an average of 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game last season.

    Yva Cao Has Been By Cameron Boozer’s Side Throughout His Journey

    The couple’s relationship dates back to their high school days in South Florida. Despite attending different colleges, the two maintained their relationship. Cao, a University of Miami cheerleader, frequently showed support for Boozer’s basketball career, and the future NBA star often returned the favor.

    Earlier this year, Boozer was spotted supporting Cao at a Miami basketball game during Duke’s winter break. Cao also attended several Duke games throughout the season and regularly shared photos of the couple on social media.

    She was the final person he embraced before walking across the stage to shake hands with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

    The son of former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer, Cameron entered the draft with much hype and ended up as the third pick.
