North Carolina Prospect Caleb Wilson Labeled ‘Opp’ by Kingston Flemings’ Sister Bella Post Commitment Decision

Former North Carolina Tar Heels forward Caleb Wilson was a consensus five-star recruit. He had offers from Kentucky and Ohio State as well, but chose to play college basketball for the Tar Heels during the 2025-26 season.

Now, Wilson is a projected top-five pick at the 2026 NBA Draft. In his one-season run with the Tar Heels, Wilson averaged 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting over 57% from the field.

Kingston Flemings, who played point guard for the Houston Cougars last season, is another projected top 10 pick at the draft this year. Many mock drafts have placed him between No. 5 and No. 7, and some even compare him to De’Aaron Fox.

Flemings isn’t the only basketball star in the family. His sister Bella is a standout basketball player herself. Bella is a top-ranked recruit in the Class of 2026 who committed to the Duke Blue Devils.

Due to her commitment to Duke, Bella now considers Wilson her ‘opp.’ In a video posted by NBA Future Starts Now on X, Bella can be seen jokingly calling Wilson an opp.

“You know, I’m going to Duke. So, I was going to say, you’re an opp,” she said.

Wilson only played 24 games last season after suffering a fracture in his left hand. He was ruled out for the rest of the season in February. At the time, he led his team in scoring, rebounding, steals, and blocks per game before getting injured.

Even in a short season, he was able to make a great impact, and the potential he showed elevated him to be a projected top-five pick. Some mock drafts have also placed him among the top three picks this year.

Kingston Flemings’ Coach on His Upbringing

Kingston has four siblings: a brother named Shaydon and three sisters, Bella, Royal, and Kadence. Bella is taking major strides as a basketball player, and her commitment to Duke is another step in the right direction.

Their parents, Shayla and Demetric “Dee” Flemings, played a huge role in shaping their game. Kingston’s coach, Kelvin Sampson, heaped praise on the parents for doing a brilliant job at home.

“What a great family unit they have, and how they all respect their mother and father, very mature. You can tell that they’re all ambitious, they’re all achievers, that they’re gonna do good in life,” he said.

Sampson believes that the Flemings are destined to be future basketball stars because of how they were raised and the values and discipline they grew up with.
