LOOK: LSU HC Lane Kiffin and Ex Wife Layla Make Thrilling Appearance at New Orleans Pelicans Sideline

LSU Tigers football head coach Lane Kiffin is in the process of building the team for his first season with the Tigers later this year. Kiffin joined LSU in dramatic fashion last year after a successful stint with the Ole Miss Rebels.

He signed some great players during the transfer portal window and has brought in some of the best coaches to join his staff. While Kiffin continues to strengthen the LSU Tigers, he also makes frequent public appearances.

He was recently spotted at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. Kiffin was there to watch the New Orleans Pelicans go against the Miami Heat. The Pelicans lost the game 111-123, registering their 41st loss of the season.

The Pelicans’ loss wasn’t the only thing that made headlines last night. The LSU Tigers head coach was seen with a blonde woman next to him as they sat courtside for the game. “Kiffin W/ Blonde Baddie,” a popular college football page on Instagram, posted.

The speculations regarding Kiffin’s personal life have been through the roof in recent years. Years after his divorce, Kiffin hasn’t revealed his relationship status publicly. Fans were quick to remind the IG page that the woman sitting next to him was his ex-wife, Layla Kiffin.

Lane and Layla wore matching colors and were seen having conversations during the game. They got married in 2004 and divorced in 2016. Lane and Layla have three kids together: Landry Kiffin, Presley Kiffin, and Monte Knox Kiffin.

Lane Kiffin and Layla are Rumored to Have Reconciled Their Relationship

When they got divorced in 2016, Lane told Fox Sports that the decision was mutual. He stated that they gave a lot of thought and consideration before reaching this decision.

“We are fully committed to our kids’ future being our No. 1 priority. We will maintain an amicable relationship with respect for each other as we raise these three wonderful children,” he said.

Interestingly, in January 2025, several reports suggested that Lane and Layla had reconciled their relationship. Although they haven’t officially acknowledged the same, there have been instances that back that claim.

Last year, Lane made an Instagram post for Layla’s birthday. He posted a picture of himself, hugging his ex-wife. Another image that fueled these speculations was posted in April 2025. Lane was seen making a heart shape with a woman’s hand.

Although he didn’t tag anyone in that picture and no one’s face was visible, his daughter, Landry, commented “Omg” on the post, hinting that the woman in the photo might be her mother.
