Ohio State Buckeyes’ star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith is all set to add to his terrific numbers and accolades as he awaits the next CFB season to begin.
With Smith’s earliest eligibility for the NFL draft being 2027, his next season with Ohio State could most definitely be one of his most crucial CFB campaigns.
Off the field, Jeremiah, during a recent interview with “I Am Next,” spoke about his personal life and expectations from a potential partner. Upon being asked what his biggest green flag was in a partner, Jeremiah revealed how he wants his partner to carve something of their own.
“You gotta have something going on for yourself. So you can’t just live off me”, Smith stated (0:06).
Given Smith’s on-field success, which has also translated into a considerable amount of fame, the wide receiver was then asked if it’s difficult for him to have a love life, to which he responded:
“Uh, no, not really. Actually, I got a girlfriend right now. I mean, you gotta find the right one. I mean, girls probably now, my age, they just worry about one thing, what can you do for them? They don’t want to bring nothing to to the table. For sure. So, I mean, I’m really picking on who I talk to, for real”, he further elaborated (0:14).

While there is no public indication of who Jeremiah Smith is currently dating, he most definitely seems clear on his wants and preferences in a partner.
Former Buckeyes OC Reveals How Smith Almost Left Ohio State
2024 CFB winner WR Jeremiah Smith, who is now a household name synonymous with the Ohio State Buckeyes, apparently almost left the program on the backdrop of his side’s 2025 Cotton Bowl loss to the Miami Hurricanes.
Former Ohio State offensive coordinator Brian Hartline, in a recent interview, revealed how keen Smith was to join USF, Brian’s current team.
“He (Smith) actually wanted to come, and I said, ‘Listen, just stay at Ohio State.’ It’s probably best for them,” Hartline said (0:04).
