On Tuesday, January 20, Tiger Woods was at the SoFi Center to cheer for his team, Jupiter Links GC, in a TGL match against the Los Angeles Golf Club. While the star golfer wasn’t in action for the team, he was seen swinging his club and also chipping left-handed.
The fifth match of the TGL 2026 season took place between Jupiter Links GC and Los Angeles Golf Club. While Los Angeles comprised Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa and Sahith Theegala, Jupiter had Max Homa, Kevin Kisner and Akshay Bhatia in action.
TW Legion, a popular account on X that tracks Tiger Woods, shared a few photos of the veteran golfer.
“Tiger Woods is putting in some work at the SoFi Centre this evening. 🐅🔥,” the caption read.
For the uninitiated, Tiger Woods hasn’t played any event since the inaugural TGL. The 82-time PGA Tour champion hasn’t competed in an official event since the Open Championship 2024, and the PNC Championship that year was his last on-course competition.
Woods was set to make his comeback at the Masters last year, but it took a setback after he ruptured his left Achilles in March. He then underwent a small Achilles tendon repair for a ruptured tendon at the hands of Dr. Charlton Stucken at the Hospital for Special Surgery in West Palm Beach.
Woods later underwent a lumbar disc replacement surgery in his L4/L5 lumbar spine in October, which further delayed his comeback. As of now, there’s no fixed timeline for the veteran star’s return.
Tiger Woods spoke about his current health status during the Jupiter Links Golf Club’s first outing last week.
“Well, I’m moving up to short irons, so that’s about it,” he said. “I need a little bit more than that to be able to play here. At my speed right now, I could probably play the Stinger hole. Just kind of roll it off the tee.
“But no, I’m progressing, which is nice. I’m getting there and getting stronger. It’s just one of those things where it just takes so much time for the bone to heal and the bone to set,” he added.
