More former LIV Golf players are now trying to make their way back to the PGA Tour, with Pat Perez, Kevin Na and Hudson Swafford reportedly applying for reinstatement.

ESPN’s Paolo Uggetti reported that all three golfers have reached out to the Tour although each still faces disciplinary penalties from when they left to join LIV Golf.

Pat Perez has already been reinstated as a PGA Tour member but he will not be allowed to compete in events for the time being. The Tour confirmed his status in a brief statement.

“At his request Pat Perez was reinstated as a member but is not eligible to participate in PGA Tour-affiliated tournaments at this time. The PGA Tour does not comment on disciplinary matters.”

Perez spent time playing for 4Aces GC before moving into a broadcasting role. With his 50th birthday coming up in March he would be able to play on the PGA Tour Champions once he is cleared. He is already qualified for three senior majors.

Hudson Swafford is expected to be eligible for a return in January 2027. He previously revealed that the PGA Tour handed him a long suspension after his move to LIV Golf.

“I don’t know how you can come up with a five or five-and-a-half year suspension based on (the fact) I played five events while the PGA Tour season was going on in ’22 that I wasn’t able to get media-released for.

Kevin Na’s return timeline has not been shared yet. The former Iron Heads GC captain has not played a LIV event since August 2025 and last teed it up at the Saudi International on the Asian Tour in November.

The growing list of players looking to rejoin the PGA Tour comes as Patrick Reed has also recently confirmed he has left LIV Golf and plans to seek reinstatement.

Patrick Reed also moves toward PGA Tour return after leaving LIV Golf

Patrick Reed is another big name stepping away from LIV Golf and looking back toward the PGA Tour. He confirmed he will not continue with the Saudi-backed league and plans to spend the 2026 season playing on the DP World Tour. His goal is to return to the PGA Tour in 2027 using his past champion status with a chance to appear in a few Tour events later this year as well.

The American said the decision was about getting back to where his career started.

“I’m a traditionalist at heart and I was born to play on the PGA Tour which is where my story began with my wife Justine. I am very fortunate for the opportunities that have come my way and grateful for the life we have created. I am moving forward in my career and I look forward to competing on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour. I can’t wait to get back out there and revisit some of the best places on earth,” he said.

Reed had hinted after winning the Hero Dubai Desert Classic that his future with LIV was still being worked out. That win now appears to have been his final start with the league.

He joined LIV Golf in 2022 as part of 4Aces GC and last played on the circuit in August. The PGA Tour later confirmed Reed will be eligible to compete again from August 25 which could allow him to feature in fall events before his full return in 2027. For now Reed will continue on the DP World Tour starting this week in Bahrain.
