Brooks Koepka has received his PGA Tour card back, but he is not competing at the American Express. The ace golfer is absent from this week’s event, and fans will have to wait for some time to see their favorite star back in action.
The American Express 2026 is set to take place from Thursday, January 22 to Sunday, January 25 at La Quinta Country Club, PGA West (Nicklaus Tournament Course), and the Pete Dye Stadium Course in La Quinta, California. The event will feature 156 players competing across three different courses.
The American Express will feature five of the top ten players in the Official World Golf Ranking. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is making his first start of the season, while Russell Henley, Robert MacIntyre, Ben Griffin and Justin Rose are the other top-five ranked players this week.
As for Brooks Koepka, the five-time major champion will make his PGA Tour comeback at the Farmers Insurance Open, which is scheduled to take place from January 29 to February 1 at Torrey Pines in San Diego, California.
For the uninitiated, Koepka earned back his PGA Tour card after agreeing to certain conditions put forth by the Tour. The star golfer agreed to forfeit Tour equity grants for five years. Besides this, he will also not earn FedEx Cup bonus money this year and cannot compete in Signature Events unless he earns a spot.
