The Texas Longhorns do not venture Between the Hedges, rather, they host the Georgia Bulldogs as a conference game for both programs. This will mark the return of a series that has seen these two historic teams play just twice since 1958.
Texas holds a 4-1 advantage over Georgia, including the last time these two teams played in 2019 during the Sugar Bowl. Texas held off Georgia, 28-21, to defeat the Bulldogs.
Other notable games for the Bulldogs in 2024 include a season-opener against Clemson and road trips to Oxford and Tuscaloosa to take on Ole Miss and Alabama, respectively.

It remains to be seen how the SEC will continually schedule their new members in 2025 and beyond, but it shouldn’t be too long before Georgia welcomes Oklahoma and Texas to Sanford Stadium.
For the first time since 1991, the SEC will not feature divisions in the conference. The top two teams will square off at the end of the year in the SEC Championship Game to culminate the season. With Oklahoma and Texas in the conference this season, the 2024 campaign truly means more.
