Five-star athletes, no matter what sport, would always have some of the most premier programs around the country lining up. This is true for five-star linebacker Kaden Henderson, who is fresh off an official visit from one of the top schools interested in him, and it seems that he is interested in them as well. The linebacker spoke with On3 and was all praises for the Canes program when asked how high Miami is with him.
“They are definitely super high,” Henderson said. “I’ll say that.”
However, the Tampa Jesuit standout was more vague about which school is on the lead right now. He kept his cards close, not committing to any school just yet, as he still has to make his final decision
“I’m not going to make an emotional decision,” Henderson noted. “I want to be 100 percent sure. That’s why I’m taking these official visits. I’m not going to be a guy that commits to decommit. I know when I make a decision, it will be a firm decision. Everybody keeps forgetting about Notre Dame. That’s a school I’m high on. I’m just taking it day-by-day.”
This was just his second of four official visits lined up before he makes his final decision on July 1. He previously had an official visit to Texas A&M and he is also set to have official visits with Ohio State and Notre Dame in June. For now, as he revealed, he is taking things slow as his decision date nears.
Miami Still Not Considered the Favorite To Land Kaden Henderson Despite High Praise
As for which team is the likeliest to land the five-star Class of 2027 linebacker, even after his visit to Miami and him praising the program, the Canes are not considered the favorites, though they are pretty high up. The true favorite is the school he had visited before Miami, and that is Texas A&M.
With the Aggies stacking up elite talent from the Class of 2027 and getting the No. 1 recruiting class, many analysts believe that Kaden Henderson is still leaning towards Texas A&M. The program has been building a relationship with the linebacker for a while now, and it is looking like the strongest one for now. He still has two more visits lined up, with there being plenty of time for the others to change his mind before July 1.
