Deion Sanders was his classic self at the Big 12 media days as he discussed all things Colorado, and then received a question about his availability for the upcoming EA Sports College Football 27 video game, leading to an interesting answer as well as reactions from fans around the world.
For context, Sanders has been absent from the last three editions of the video game since it was brought back in 2024, and we might have a clear reason why.
“I don’t know about the video game,” Sanders said to media.
“I have a wonderful team that handles a lot of business for me. If I’m not in the game, that means they weren’t paying enough. It didn’t fit where we’re going right now. That’s probably it. It was probably that simplistic.”
Fans have since reacted to the statement, laying down their thoughts on the comments made by the legendary coach Prime.

While not as a coach for the Colorado Buffaloes, Deion Sanders can still be seen in the video game this year.
In “Road to Glory” mode, fans can create custom football players and progress through high school and college careers, with a host of legends to base their character’s stats on. One of these templates is set on Deion Sanders in the colors of his alma mater, Florida State, available to use.
