Demond Williams Signing With LeBron James’ $120M Friend After Transfer Portal Saga Sets Fans Abuzz: “Bad To Worse”

Washington Huskies quarterback Demond Williams has signed an agency related to LeBron James to represent his NIL interest.

According to Locked on Huskies host Lars Henson, Williams has signed with James’ friend Rich Paul’s Klutch Sports Group. Paul has a networth of $120 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

The move comes while Williams is surrounded by controversies, given that he first entered the transfer portal before once again confirming that he’ll stay with the Huskies. The latest agency signing has fans talking on social media.

“Of course he did,” one fan said.

“I didn’t think I could possibly dislike a kid any more than I did after last week. Congratulations Demond, I was unfamiliar with your game,” one fan commented.

“All this for 1 year and he leaves…,” another wrote.

“Way better agency they will take care of him,” one fan added.

“How many different types of representation does this kid have?” one fan joked.

“Good lord, from bad to worse 😂” another fan reacted.

Demond Williams Reverses His Transfer Portal Decision After Washington Action

Earlier this month, Demond Williams made headlines after he planned to enter the transfer portal with a “do not contact” tag, meaning no one could approach him without his permission. That stirred a controversy, because he already had an NIL deal in place with the Washington Huskies. The high-value NIL/revenue-sharing deal with Washington was reported to be worth around $4 million+ for the 2026 season.

Washington was considering taking legal action to enforce this contract under the law. Washington also thought that some teams might have talked to Williams, leading to the possibility of illegal tampering before his entry in the transfer portal.

Shortly after, Williams’ agent Wasserman Football dropped the quarterback as client, citing “philosophical differences.”

“[Williams] made the decision to end my representation of Demond Williams Jr. effective immediately due to philosophical differences,” a spokesperson from Wasserman Football agency said, wishing, “him and his family the best in their future endeavors.”

After the uproar, Williams reversed course and reaffirmed that he will stay at Washington and honor that deal.
