Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes had a forgettable run last season. They finished the 2024 season with seven wins and two losses in the conference and were the fourth-ranked team in the Big 12.
The 2025 season took a nosedive at the beginning, and Colorado couldn’t recover until the end. They finished with a 1-8 conference record and were the second-worst team in the conference. This year, Colorado is looking for redemption.
Deion Sanders and his team would need everything that they can get to go back to being a force to be reckoned with in college football. However, they have suffered yet another setback as their defensive coordinator is leaving.
Robert Livingston joined the Buffaloes in 2024 as their defensive coordinator. It was recently reported that he has accepted an offer from the Denver Broncos to be their defensive pass game coordinator.
Livingston is leaving Colorado to be in the NFL again. He worked with the Cincinnati Bengals from 2012 to 2023 in different roles. This move will leave an important position vacant in Deion Sanders’ coaching staff.
It’ll be interesting to see how long it’ll take for the Buffaloes to fill that open position. If they were aware of Livingston’s departure, they might have some candidates in mind. Otherwise, it could be a long process to find someone to replace him.
The Buffaloes were expected to lose their rhythm last season as they had lost Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders to the NFL. This year, however, they will not have that excuse and will have to bounce back with a new team.
On a personal level, Deion Sanders had some serious health issues that he had to deal with last year. Now, he’s healthy and is in a position to lead the team as he did in 2024.
Deion Sanders and Shilo Sanders Had a Funny Banter Over Balding Issue
Coach Prime has a great relationship with all his kids. He’s very friendly with them, and they often joke about each other whenever they’re together. Shilo recently took jabs at his father while getting his hair done.
He was worried about potentially going bald in the next few years. Since balding is hereditary in most cases, he called his father to ask him when he started going bald. Coach Prime told him that he was in his early 30s. Shilo is 26 years old.
When Coach Prime took off his hat to show how much hair he has left on his head, Shilo jokingly asked, “Is that the hair from your b*tt crack?” The Buffaloes’ head coach didn’t have a good response at the time, so he accepted defeat and applauded Shilo for a “good” joke.
