    Why Was Carius Curne Arrested? All We Know About Ole Miss OT’s Charges

    Ole Miss Rebels offensive lineman Carius Curne found himself in legal trouble on Saturday. According to reports, he was arrested by the Arkansas State Police. But what was he charged with?

    According to a tweet by Ole Miss reporter Michael Katz, Curne was booked on several charges, including possession, fleeing, and speeding.

    “News: Ole Miss OT Carius Curne was arrested in Arkansas today, per Arkansas State police records. Charges included possession of a schedule six substance of less than four ounces, fleeing and speeding,” Katz wrote.

    According to the Crittendon County Sheriff’s Office, Curne also got a misdemeanor charge of drug paraphernalia. His arrest took place at 5:11 p.m. The offensive lineman was released at 6:50 p.m., almost an hour after his arrest.

    Fans on social media started flooding with various reactions to Carius Curne’s arrest.

    “What’s crazy about this is LSU always have a player arrested in the offseason and we found the player who it would have been if he stayed,” one fan wrote.

    “I’ll never understand these guys being so careless with the opportunities they have,” another fan said.

    “Welp national championship confirmed,” a fan joked.

    “Golden era off to a great start,” another fan said.

    “I don’t understand why you would do this in your position like brother just chill,” a fan wrote.

    “This is exactly the type of scenarios NIL will create,” another fan commented.

    Carius Curne joined the LSU Tigers as a consensus four-star prospect in the recruiting class of 2025. After just one season, he’s preparing for a new journey with the Ole Miss Rebels.

    The Rebels are set to begin a new era under coach Pete Golding. After six years, former head coach Lane Kiffin decided to leave to join the LSU Tigers in November. He agreed to a seven-year deal worth around $91 million, making him one of the highest-paid college football coaches.
