Bill Belichick’s first season with the North Carolina Tar Heels was one to forget and move on from. He ended the season with just four wins, eight losses, and failed to qualify for a Bowl game, which was a first for UNC since 2018.
Belichick’s personal life kept him in the news throughout the season as well. His girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, was seen on the sidelines, and many claimed that Belichick was too distracted with his love life to focus on football.
Despite the outrage, Hudson remained a part of the UNC program. Matt Hartman revealed that Belichick had asked the UNC staff to include Hudson in every mail that was sent to him. There was a lot of uproar about that as well.
Hudson is still unbothered by the outside noise. She is supporting Belichick after a disastrous season, and she recently posted the Tar Heels’ home game designations for the 2026 football season on her Instagram story.
The schedule includes Family Football Day on October 24 against Syracuse, Rams Club Day on October 31 against Miami, Homecoming, Military Appreciation, and Monogram Day on November 14 against Louisville, and Senior Day on November 28 against NC State.
The original graphic was posted by Carolina Football on Instagram. Hudson reposted the same on her Instagram story without any caption.

Belichick must turn things around this season. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest football coaches of all time. Even though his NFL legacy will remain unmatched, if he fails yet again this year, his reputation will take a major hit.
Bill Belichick’s UNC Future is Uncertain
In his legendary coaching career spanning nearly five decades, Belichick never coached a college football team. Two years after ending his NFL stint with the New England Patriots, he received a lucrative offer from UNC.
Other than the money involved, it presented a challenge for Belichick. There’s a stark difference between coaching college football and NFL teams. Fans wanted to see if Belichick could develop players at that stage. He failed. Now he has another opportunity to prove himself this year.
“If UNC has a rerun of what happened in 2025, Belichick could move on to something else. Even a successful second season won’t turn down retirement talk, as Belichick turns 74 in April. He’s signed through the 2029 season,” ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg said.
Belichick already knows the areas he needs to work on. The 2026 college football season could help restore his reputation as one of the best to ever do it.
