“Cry Baby Bi**h”;”This Is Loser Behavior” – Fans Unload on Dalton Rushing Over His Hopes of Reshaping Villain Label in MLB

Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Dalton Rushing has been a hot topic of discussion on either side of the field since the start of the 2026 campaign. While the backstop has been highly impressive at the plate, he has been equally outspoken about some heated moments on the field, where Rushing has been caught cussing and hurling banters at opponents.

Recently, the catcher gave opinionted over how he has been started to perceive as a villain in the league in an exclusive interview with the Athletic. Reflecting on his earlier controversial moments this season, Rushing hoped that, moving forward, the baseball fraternity would perceive him differently, more positively.

“Guys have started to give me a label of (villain). That’s just me competing at the highest level and not allowing any outside source to get in my way. I played football, and that’s how you compete. Hopefully anyone who knows me off the field knows the person I am, how much I care about people. I think there’s been a mix up of image recently,” Rushing said.

MLB fans quickly voiced their reaction to Rushing’s comments on social media.

“This is loser behavior. Just be the villain, don’t ask for sympathy,” one fan commented.

“Cry baby b—-. Fits in the Dodgers organization well,” another fan commented.

“Maybe stop being caught on video doing things that make you perceived this way,” yet another fan commented.

Some other fans questioned Rushing’s take, calling him out for his earlier controversial comments, including blaming the Rockies for cheating, abusing Jung Hoo Lee after he was injured at the plate, and calling Miguel Amaya a “fat f—” after he stole a base during a game.

“What part of calling someone a fat fuck and laughing at an injured player is being competitive?” one fan commented.

“Calling your opponent a ‘fat f—‘ after he steals a base against you isn’t competing, it’s being an a——,” another fan commented.

“I don’t think he’s a bad dude but the reputation he’s getting is 100% a result of his actions. You can’t insult your competition and expect them to still like you,” yet another fan commented.

Fellow Dodgers Temmate Expressed Belief in Dalton Rushing

Dodgers 1B and three-time World Series champion Freddie Freeman expressed belief and praised Rushing’s confidence levels amidst ongoing backlash endured by the backstop for a highly volatile April month, which saw him register an amazing hitting line for the incumbent champions.

“Dalton can sometimes black out on a baseball field, but he believes in himself. He cares so much about wanting to be good, so you can’t fault someone for that. That would just be taking away something from who Dalton Rushing is. So for me, I’m not gonna ever tell him not to do that. I mean, maybe watch what you’re saying on cameras, you know, and stuff like that,” Freeman said.

So far this season, Rushing has hit seven home runs with 17 RBI, along with a .328 batting average and a 1.124 OPS. As per current trends, the backstop is projected to hit 31 runs and register 74 RBIs this season.
